SellerSigma
Analytics & Reporting

Every number, and where it came from.

SellerSigma is an advertising analytics and automation service for Amazon selling partners. It reads your own advertising and catalogue data from Amazon's APIs, turns it into reporting you can act on, and proposes the specific changes the reporting implies. This page sets out exactly what we measure, what we calculate from it, how often it refreshes, and what we do and do not do with the data.

What we report

The metrics on your dashboard

Every figure is derived from your own Amazon advertising data, for whichever date window and marketplace you select.

Spend and return

What the advertising cost and what it brought back, over any window you pick.

  • Ad spend
  • Attributed sales
  • ACOS (advertising cost of sales)
  • ROAS (return on ad spend)
  • Attributed orders
  • Average order value

Funnel and efficiency

Where a campaign is losing people, stated as the step it is losing them at.

  • Impressions
  • Clicks
  • Click-through rate
  • Cost per click
  • Conversion rate
  • Active campaign count

Breakdowns

The same figures cut by the dimensions that change what you would do next.

  • By product (SKU and ASIN)
  • By campaign type (auto, broad, exact)
  • By campaign, and by ad group inside a campaign
  • By marketplace
  • By placement (top of search, rest of search, product pages)
  • By customer search term
What we do with it

The analysis on top of the numbers

Reporting that stops at a table leaves the work with you. Each of these ends in something you can act on, or approve.

Trend and period comparison

Spend, sales, ACOS and the rest plotted daily over 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days, or a window of your choosing, each figure shown against the immediately preceding period of the same length so a change reads as a change rather than a number.

Search-term analysis

Every customer query your ads appeared for, ranked by spend, with clicks, orders and its own ACOS. Terms that convert are proposed as exact-match keywords; terms that take spend without converting are proposed as negatives. Both arrive as a proposal with its reasoning attached.

Placement analysis

Top of search, rest of search and product pages compared on conversion and cost, which is how the top-of-search bid multiplier gets set to a number rather than a guess.

Diagnostics

Campaigns running above your target ACOS, keywords taking clicks without orders, listings whose bids are too low to earn impressions, and budgets exhausting before the day ends. Each one names the campaign and the figure behind it.

Weekly summary

A Monday email covering what changed in the week, what SellerSigma did about it, and what is waiting for your approval.

CSV export

The per-campaign table exports to CSV for the window and filters you have applied, so your own spreadsheet takes over wherever ours stops.

Amazon attributes a sale up to 14 days after the click, so the most recent days keep restating as Amazon revises them. The dashboard shows the figures Amazon currently reports rather than a frozen copy, which is why a number can move after you first read it.

Handling

What we do, and do not do, with your data

The short version: it is your data, it is used to run your account, and it goes nowhere else.

We do

  • Use your data only to produce your reporting and to manage your own advertising.
  • Keep each seller's data isolated from every other seller's.
  • Encrypt Amazon access tokens at rest, and transport everything over TLS.
  • Connect only through Amazon's own consent screens, so you can revoke us from Seller Central at any time.
  • Delete what we hold within 30 days of you disconnecting or cancelling.
  • Show you the reasoning behind every proposed change before it is applied.

We do not

  • ×Pool your data with other sellers' to build benchmarks, indexes or market reports.
  • ×Sell, licence or share your data with any third party for their own purposes.
  • ×Use your data to train public AI models.
  • ×Request or store your Amazon password.
  • ×Read buyer names, addresses or any other personally identifiable order data.
  • ×Take a percentage of your ad spend, or bill your advertising.

The full detail, including our sub-processors and how to ask for deletion, is in the privacy notice.

Honest limits

What this reporting will not tell you

Worth knowing before you sign up, because no dashboard is the whole picture.

It measures advertising, not the whole business

Everything here is about ad efficiency. If your conversion rate is the real problem, the strongest move available to an ads tool is to lower bids. It cannot tell you the listing needs better images, a sharper title, or a price that wins the buy box.

Sponsored Products only

Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display are not covered today, so any spend you run there is outside these figures.

Amazon's numbers are the numbers

We report what the Advertising API returns. Where Amazon restates a figure, ours restates with it, and we do not model or estimate around a gap in their reporting.
